Hi, I’m Matt.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by how businesses grow.

Not the cookie-cutter marketing playbooks that get regurgitated in every online course, but the real ways businesses scale—by identifying untapped opportunities, streamlining systems, and creating unfair advantages.

But getting to this point wasn’t easy.

My journey has been anything but normal.

From the Printroom to the Boardroom

My career started in an old-school print shop in North London—back when large-format print, POS, and shopfitting were the backbone of retail marketing.

By my mid-20s, I had worked my way up to production director, overseeing 150+ people across three sites.

I had a sharp eye for efficiency, which led me to refine processes, cut waste, and boost profits.

But working in the business instead of on the business never sat right with me. I knew I wanted more.

So, I did what any sane person does—I left the corporate world and built my own company.

Building and Breaking My Own Business

I started my first business in 1998, a marketing and design agency blending print, design, photography and shop-fitting.

It grew fast. Too fast.

I landed blue-chip clients like Heinz, Cadbury, Nestle, Guinness, Sky, Konica Minolta, Compass Group, Tottenham Hotspur, and Leeds United, to name just a few.

To the outside world, I was successful and flying high.

But the truth wasn't so rosy.

I was drowning in work, juggling numerous issues, struggling with cash flow and knee-deep in pressure.

Scaling up meant more overhead, more staff, and less time with my family doing the things I enjoyed.

I realised I hadn’t built a business—I had built the job from hell.

After years of grinding, I made the tough decision to pivot. I shut down and sold off different parts of the business, walking away from what I had once thought was my dream.

It was brutal—both emotionally and financially—but it taught me my first major lesson: growth without leverage is a trap.

Discovering the Power of Leverage

In 2003, I made my first online windfall using Google Adwords.

That single moment was all the proof I needed—there were better ways to grow a business.

Over the last twenty years, I’ve built and ranked countless lead generation sites, turning them into predictable revenue machines that have generated millions of leads and sales from purely organic sources.

I often sold the leads on a pay-per-lead basis, then ultimately sold the sites themselves to the businesses buying the leads.

It was enjoyable and lucrative, didn't require any staff (except me), and—most importantly—scalable.

During this time I’ve also helped numerous small and medium-sized business owners with their online presence, including:

Building automotive lead gen systems that pulled in 10,000+ organic leads per year per site—without spending a penny on ads.

Scaling several e-commerce startups from zero to over £1m in sales in less than three years—again without spending a penny on ads.

Optimising numerous businesses behind the scenes—fixing bottlenecks, implementing automation, and turning underperforming assets into revenue engines—and yes, I did that without spending a penny on ads.

I saw firsthand that most businesses don’t have a lead problem.

They have a conversion problem, a follow-up problem, and an efficiency problem.

And more often than not, the biggest opportunities were already inside their business—they just couldn’t see them.

The internet on steroids.

Then in 2019, I met AI...

The first time I saw AI in action, it hit me like a freight train.

This wasn’t just another shiny new tool. It wasn’t some incremental software update or a clever automation hack.

This was pure, unfiltered leverage—the kind that makes you stop dead in your tracks and rethink everything you thought you ever knew.

Before ChatGPT became a household name, before the AI gold rush, I was already deep in the rabbit hole.

And the more I explored, the clearer it became: the way we were running businesses online wasn’t just inefficient—it was prehistoric.

I saw businesses bleeding opportunity—wasting time on manual tasks, relying on bloated teams to do what AI could handle instantly, and throwing money at ads instead of optimising what they already had.

It felt like watching cavemen painstakingly chiselling messages into stone, oblivious to the fact that the printing press was right behind them.

That’s when I knew—AI wasn’t just a tool.

It was a fundamental shift.

It was about building smarter, not working harder.

It was about scaling without waste, unlocking hidden revenue, and turning inefficiencies into growth engines.

Sure, there are risks and concerns with AI, but the reality is—it’s here to stay.

Failing to adapt doesn’t just mean falling behind; it could threaten the very survival of your business—no matter the industry.
